Shipping thru private carriers & TSF delivery service. Hopefully this will give you an idea of cost. What would you charge to drive halfway across country & back?

Funds from preorders are held until shipping is arranged & paid. Will be setting up shipping as a service to purchase in the store soon. A few more details to work out. If shipping can not be worked out to everyones satisfaction, customer will have the options to get a full refund or choose USPS express but lose the ArriveAlive guarantee.

PLEASE NOTE; Hatch date is not ship date so that hatches may be combined to lower shipping cost, therefore birds may be up to 2 weeks old at shipping.

Birds raised off heat may be shipped but fees will increase as more space & additional care is required.

TSF Delivery Service. A personalized delivery of your birds by myself or one of my drivers. Stops for meet ups along the interstate system. Some may be front porch delivery. Arrive alive guaranteed. Remember that the extra you are paying in shipping is for a guarantee, something you don’t get thru USPS!

Mileage is one way so realize that a return trip must be made, 250=500miles. Longer trips require overnight accommodations. Shipping fees will be determined 2 weeks before shipping & due at that time.

So hit up your neighbors & local FB pages to share in shipping cost. Or you can pick up your birds & deliver to others, & get a discount on your birds, depending on number of orders.

Each time an order comes in for that route, your cost will lower. These are my tentative rates & are not the rates for firms listed below. They set their rates .

1ST 250 MILES>>150$ then 1$ for each additional mile

300 miles>>200$

500 miles>>400$

700 miles>>600$ All for 1 shipment, but split among 5 or more orders will reduce fees dramatically. (Minimum shipping fee will always be 125$ as more stops requires more time on the road.) As you can see , that it is advantageous to do multiple stops.

TSF to Nashville TN >>300 miles

TSF to Gainesville FL >>300 miles

Jackson MS>430, Louisville KN>440, St. Louis MO>600

Again, remember the extra you pay for shipping with a private carrier is for a guarantee, something you do not get from USPS.

2026 destinations so far, for the new babies

Tentative =Delivery route for May 19th & 20th. Maryland—Virgina—North Carolina—South Carolina—East GA. We could meet for pickup in Maryland morning of 19th, Virgina, overnight in North Carolina. then to South Carolina & GA. These can be birds from May 3rd, 10th, & 17th hatch dates. 3 more orders & shipping fee will be 150$ on this route. Older birds will require additional fee, same as pickup at the farm.

Have a shipper in Maryland that could also deliver to Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, etc. if there is enough orders from these hatches to lower cost, at this same time.

Here is an option to help. Join your local & regional FB poultry & livestock pages. Tell everyone that you would like to order Turks from turkeystrutfarm.com but need a few more orders to get the shipping down to where it is reasonable for the distance from our farm. Then you can all get together & order from the same hatch dates. Could cover two back2back hatch dates for one 1 shipping route. You just need to coordinate.

OR you could post “I need several friends to order birds from this farm for these dates, & I will be delivering for a fee.” Then you can be transport service & pick up birds here & charge them shipping. You could pay for your birds & gas this way. Just let me know which ones you will be picking up for at time of ordering so I'm not working with another shipper on these orders.
