The same bird as as the wild turkey of the eastern USA. A very rare bird to find as there are only a handful of breeders in the US. Slightly smaller than heritage birds. These are kept separate from my other birds & human contact is kept to a minimum.
Stunning colors of beautiful iridescent greens, bronze & blacks. They love to strut their stuff & gobble hard & loud!! Our toms here on the Newborn farm are named Geronimo & Crazy Horse. Currently 9 hens here on the farm.
The original bird from which all others were bred. Also, the main course at the first Thanksgiving dinner & was Benjamin Franklins choice for our national bird! At least that’s what our history books taught us.
